Joystick support works, but has limitations that make it unusable for more advanced setups:
1. Only one device at a time is recognized (multiple device setups like HOSAS/HOTAS won't work)
2. If your device has too many axes, it'll be recognized as gamepad instead of joystick (fun fact: after some testing, it looks like disabling Z-axis turns device into joystick in BF6, leaving max number of axes as 7)
3. You can only bind first 17 buttons of your device in game, so if your device has more, then additional buttons won't be bindable.
Point 1. can be workaround by merging multiple devices into single virtual one (e.g. using vJoy + Joystick Gremlin), however due to point 2. and 3. you still cannot use most of your devices' capabilities, which doesn't differ much from just mapping to Xbox/PS controller.
