Add remastered maps from previous titles.

I don’t know who else would agree with this but I would like to see a range of battlefield maps from previous titles to be added into battlefield 6.

The current maps we have are underwhelming, poorly detailed and small. I like contaminated but can only play it so much.

Of course there’s bugs that still persist in the game which need fixing.

I personally DO NOT think that the future made maps that will be released will impress me that much, I would honestly prefer to see some nostalgia brought into the game. My suggestions would be:

Operation Locker, Operation Metro, Gulf of Oman, Zavod, Caspian Border, Siege of Shanghai, Goldmund Railway.

Thats what you call Battlefield maps not the rubbish we have now.

TeeCee2298 I completely agree with you, and you’re definitely not the only one thinking this. A lot of players feel the same way about the current maps.

Personally, I think the ideal solution would be to include at least one remastered map each season. That way it would help keep veteran players engaged while still allowing the developers to bring new content into the game.

For example, they could release one remastered map and two new maps per season, or even a 1:1 balance with one remaster and one new map. I think that would be a really good compromise between nostalgia and fresh content.

It would give long-time Battlefield players something familiar and iconic to return to, while still letting the game grow with new experiences.

Right now, bringing back some classic maps like the ones you mentioned would probably make a lot of players very happy.

  • I would love some older maps back as well. Surely Operation Locker and Operation Metro. I think these are perfect maps to keep people coming back to the game. Don't mind the other maps mentioned either, those were good maps as well. I think with the new weapons and customization as well as new gadgets the older maps would open a whole new way of playing the old maps too, which can be a lot of fun.

  • "include at least one remastered map each season" - each month please, one a season is just too slow.

De4dStack I agree that getting one remastered map every month would be great for the game and would definitely help keep things fresh. However, we also need to stay realistic. Even getting one remastered map per season would already be a good start in my opinion.

Remastering a map isn’t just copying it from an old game — it usually requires reworking lighting, assets, destruction, balance and adapting it to the new engine and gameplay systems. So while one per month would be amazing, one per season would already be a solid improvement compared to what we have right now.

QcR4ptor I would prefer more maps from the old games but I get the idea of a remastered map and a new map. My only worry is the new map will just be a half polished small to medium sized map with no detail. Unfortunately some of the devs involved in bf6 are ex devs from cod so the direction the game is going in is not the right one.

WRR_Farid Thats just some of the maps off the top of my head. Most of the maps on previous titles were decent maps. I wouldn’t be against BF1 maps being remastered into a modern theme as I loved the bf1 maps too. I just want to play maps that represent what battlefield is and not the small unpolished maps we have currently. It just doesn’t excite me at all.
