Unfortunately, I tried using the HOTAS X56 to pilot aircraft but was unsuccessful; only one joystick is supported, which makes the experience frustrating.

If you only plug in the x56 stick, you can map the buttons using the in game joystick mapping. But as you said, it’s frustrating using the stick along with the keyboard for throttle. I’ll take the workaround for now but we do need full HOTAS support.

if you're on Steam, disable the Steam Input, and plug your stick into a USB 3.0 slot. I have the stick (not hotas), and that worked for me
