Bf6 is not Battlefield anymore

Well, after a 3 week marriage, I’m ready for divorce.

What the hell happened. This game couldn’t even manage 3 weeks. I made multiple servers in 2042 and I tinkered with portal for around 3.5 years. My servers always had loads of people in them. I played regularly with around 15 friends almost every night.

They killed portal in BF6. Can’t even make servers like we used to. Most settings are missing in BF6 portal. They didn’t even give us game mode templates to use that we could then adjust the settings in and then add code.

Now we need to use an overly complicated dev kit (godot) to even get one map running. And a lot of the portal coding guys are having issues even doing that.

I made servers to make fun and cool stuff. But mainly, I made portal servers to BALANCE the game. With a few tweaks to weapon damage, 2042 was a hell of a lot more balances that dice’s version.

BF6 has so many issues I can’t even begin to list them. And now we can’t even balance some of the stuff out with portal.

All of my friends have stopped playing BF6 now. They said they won’t play it because either a) it’s just boring, or b) they won’t play it until they fix it.

Literally none of them play it now. I was on last night with the last of them that still wants this game to work. And it was awful. It’s not just game play issues. Even the UI is bugged to hell.

We could not name ONE thing BF6 has got right. 2042 is better in every way, and that’s saying something.

Issues with BF6 off the top of my head:

dreadful netcode

Awful TTK/ TTD

Killed behind cover

Dreadful graphic/ texture pop-ins

overpowered vehicles

unbalanced weapons 

laser beam auto weapons that have no recoil

Broken, clunky UI

Stupidly hard to squad up and join friends 

Portal is dead

Glitched assignments - not counting 

awful map design 

Unacceptably small maps

Run and gun cod game design

Jump, slide, hip shot cod crap

Buggy loadouts

Stupid 100-credit loadout system

There’s even stupid stuff like being able to endlessly spin your head round like an owl when you’re driving a jeep. Keep looking left or right and your head will spin endlessly. WTF is that about?! This sort of thing shows that they DIDN’T spend countless hours play testing (THEIR words).

This game plays so badly it’s not even funny.

3 WEEKS!! 3 weeks and it’s already being shelved.

Congrats EA. You wowed everyone with trailers and destruction. You duped everyone and made shareholder money and boosted the sale of EA.

Honeymoon is over and people can see just how bad this game is. The only people singing its praises are paid content creators and people that just can’t admit this game is awful.

THIS GAME NEEDS A SERIOUS OVERHAUL otherwise I guarantee it will be dead in the water by the end of the year

You want 100 million players online at once? Yeah, good luck with that.

I have never been so disappointed with a BF game. I have put lots of time into this game. I gave it a chance. I persevered. Got to rank 102. But as I watch my friends slowly stop playing it, I can’t ignore how bad this game is now. I tried, but every time I jump into a game, it is DREADFUL.

If this is how you WANT the game to play, then well done. But you will see your player numbers plummet.

You’ll be left with cod players who will then eventually go back to cod. And you’ll have pushed the BF players away.

I cannot think of ONE thing BF6 does well. Even the destruction goes mostly unnoticed because the gameplay is SO bad.

I could spend hours mentioning every single thing wrong with this game, but I cannot be bothered.

This game is awful. That’s the conclusion.

I’ll find something else to play.

One more thing.. Battle pass tiers. I looked through them all and there is NOTHING I am bothered about grinding for. The only thing I worked to get was the scout elite. Literally nothing else interests me. So basically, I can’t even be bothered to grind through the bad gameplay anymore.

The scout elite is a great rifle - but it’s useless when the netcode is so bad and also because any idiot with an SMG, LMG, AR can beam you from across the map anyway!!!!!

MY GOD there is so much wrong with this game.
