BF6 lovers, what secondary mode would keep you playing?

I really love Battlefield 6.
Escalation on Cairo is where I found my best flow and it has become my favorite way to play. The game is incredible and for me it is easily the game of the year.

But even if I love it, I can’t always enjoy it in my free time. It gets pretty stressful and that intensity sometimes makes it hard to stay motivated to play as much as I’d like.

It made me wonder which secondary modes could help keep players engaged. Something slower maybe, and definitely with no bots. Maybe a very tactical mode with a small number of players and a one life structure. Something that still fits BF but gives you a break from the constant pressure.

What kind of extra mode would you like to see in Battlefield?
Let’s discuss, i'm curious of your ideas ;)

I'm NOT TALKING about something like REDSEC. But a BF6 new modality :)

  • Not sure my answer will quite fit your question, but I thought about something that might be interesting. I'm getting tired of "racing game" BF6 when you have to constantly run from one capture point to another because the other team is rushing them and leaving. It's very difficult to try and defend as most often those guys arrive in groups of 5+ (supported by a tank). But non stop running from an area to the next for 20 minutes is not my cup of tea.
So I thought it could be interesting to have a game mode in between Breakthrough and Conquest. I mean a conquest map in which you can only capture certain areas from a couple others (think of the "grid" system in Planetside 2 as an example). That means it would be impossible for a team to capture objectives that are too far away from the places they are controlling. Sort of Breakthrough game mode but with a back and forth mechanics for the contested area(s).

  • Either a PVE mode or something like Grind from BFV, where I can just shut my brain off.

  • ARMA King of the Hill. This is nothing like the existing King of the Hill in Battlefield by the way.

3 teams compete. It's a huge map that's closer to a Battle Royale map. A single large town/city within that map is designated as the area of operations. The capture zone is really large, but there's a smaller moving capture zone within the larger capture zone that awards extra points. The capture zone is like exhausting tickets in conquest. You can't immediately capture it. The team that holds the capture zone the longest wins.

You get money for kills, destroying vehicles, playing the objective and helping your teammates. The money can be used to purchase vehicles (and possibly weapons). Things are priced based on their strength. Spawning on teammates is not possible, you spawn back at your base when you spawn.

You can be the guy the person that transports other people or the guy that ambushes the transport. You can play the objective or hang back as a sniper. It's much slower paced and matches take way longer (multiple hours). People are able to play the way they want to.

There's also a long term meta game where you can unlock new weapons/vehicles that you can then purchase.

  • I mean, conquest is the obvious answer. Escalation is like the intense version of conquest.
