bf6 XP TO reach 500

I am at level 402.  I have slightly over 15 million xp.    I noticed a lot of players at the same rank have nowhere near the same xp.  

How is that possible?   I understand there are people who glitch xp, but they don't have high xp.  So how are their ranks the same or higher than me when I have significantly more legit xp?
