Bring Back — and Improve — the Post-Match Map Vote in Battlefield 6

In Battlefield 1, after each match, players could vote between two maps for the next round.

It was a simple but fun feature that gave the community a small say in where the fight would go next.

However, this system also had one big downside: many great maps rarely got played because the same few favorites kept winning votes. Over time, this led to repetitive rotations.

For Battlefield 6, I’d love to see this feature return — but with a more balanced, modern twist.

My Idea: Pool-Based Voting Instead of Specific Map Voting

Instead of showing two specific map names, the post-match screen would show two or three map types:

Close Quarters Combat — tight, infantry-focused fights with minimal vehicle presence.

Mixed or Balanced - mid-sized with vehicles, but also tight spaces

All-Out Warfare — large, open maps with vehicles, aircraft, and big team coordination.

Players vote for the type of battle they want next. Once the winning pool is chosen, the server randomly picks a map from that pool. This keeps the rotation fresh and ensures every map in the pool gets a fair chance.

Suggested Pool Divisions

Here’s a refined example of how you could categorize them:

** Close Quarters Combat** (tight, infantry-focused, little to no vehicle use)

Empire State – all infantry, fast-paced urban combat

Saints Quarter – compact, destructible buildings for quick infantry clashes

** Mixed or Balanced** (mid-sized with vehicles, but also tight spaces)

Siege of Cairo – dense alleyways with occasional tanks; balanced infantry and vehicle use

Iberian Offensive – urban layout with tanks but limited air options

Manhattan Bridge – combines street-level infantry combat with available helicopters

** All-Out Warfare** (large open spaces, air and ground vehicles, sprawling environments)

Liberation Peak – large mountainside map with vehicles and aerial dogfights

New Sobek City – expansive desert construction zones with vehicles and air combat

Mirak Valley – the largest map at launch, full of vehicles and vast terrain

Operation Firestorm – a remade classic combining infantry, land vehicles, and air units in a vast oil field battlefield

What do you think?

Would you like to see a pool-based map voting system like this in Battlefield 6? Or would you prefer the old Battlefield 1 style where you directly vote between two specific maps?
