Bring Back The Original AA

I don't know if its just me or if I'm setting up my AA wrong but the difference from the AA in this title compared to the other titles is quite frankly disgusting...

Movement is what I would class as realistic but the burst fire and turret speed is just terrible, I would have hoped that this would have been tweaked with the  OG railway being back but no such luck.

EA please bring back the old AA, there is a big reason why hardly anyone is using it..

    GSJWAY27 Hey,

So, completely valid. When you have it in a new game, and it should be the same feeling, and it isn't, you know right away that it is not. When it feels off, it throws off the whole vibe of the game.

You mention it doesn't feel the same. I am curious, from the previous games until now, what would you change that would make it more the same as before or more effective in your matches?

Hi Shepard, hope all is well.

The only points I would say are to do with the ADS and the fire rate.

In other titles the ADS just seemed fluid and responsive where the AA in the new game is very mechanical, whilst I understand mechanical is probably more "life like" its just not as fun to use as compared to say BF4.

The same really with the fire rate, the rate of fire along with the smooth and responsive movement made the AA fun to use and you could actually get kills with however in this version you very rarely get the opportunity to take down an aircraft, 1. because the turret doesn't move fast enough and 2. the cooldown hits way to fast, that's the best way I could describe it really, I'm not well versed in the way of development and change, if you could copy and paste the old AA it would be amazing :)

GSJWAY27 I completely agree with you. The AA in Battlefield 6 really doesn’t feel as effective or comfortable to use compared to the older Battlefield titles. I’m hoping it eventually gets adjusted so it feels closer to how it was in the classic BF games.

GSJWAY27 I get where you’re coming from on this. It sounds like a big part of it is that the AA just doesn’t feel as satisfying to use as it did in older Battlefield games. When that rhythm is off, even the moments when you should feel in control can feel clunky instead.

Do you think it would feel better if landing shots gave stronger feedback, even before the balance side changes? And when you use AA now, does it feel more like you’re being forced to react late rather than being able to set up and control the space?

Feedback from shots aren’t the issue tbh, I feel the overheat hits way to fast, and the bullets speed isn’t the same, I just want the old AA back lol.. beggars can’t be choosers.

so, I guess to summarise I would want:

    Smoother mechanics on ADS

    extended shooting time before overheating

same bullet veloicty as gattaling cannon from BF3

sorry, not the best with words but this is the best I can point things out

GSJWAY27 You actually narrowed that down pretty well. If the bigger problem is overheating and bullet velocity, that points more at how the AA feels moment to moment than just raw damage on paper.

When you say smoother ADS, do you mean the transition into aiming feels too stiff, or that tracking aircraft once you’re aimed in still feels too clunky?

And on the overheat side, would you want a longer firing window overall, or more room to feather shots without it feeling like the weapon shuts you down too fast?

When I say smoother ADS I mean during tracking an enemy as it does feel a bit too clunky.

a longer firing window overall or a slower burnout would be preferred..

GSJWAY27 Gotcha. I see what you're saying. I think a slower burnout would be really good to incorporate in that.
