Can't use the 200rnd belt box !

Hi all.

I have asked this before, but never really got or understood why I can't switch from the 100 round to the 200 round belt box.

The attached link shows the box and according to the picture I have too many points over to be able to use it? Is this right or have I got it wrong?

Every attachment has a certain worth/price attached to it and you only have a 100 total points to allocate across the entire weapon. In order to slap that big ol box on your gun you'll need to swap out other parts -- switching to lower magnification scopes and other "default" attachments should help.

In my honest opinion as a compulsive reloader, the switch from 100 to 200 bullets isn't worth the steep price

not sure what youre not understanding.
The 200 round box costs 55 points, the 100 round box costs 5 points.
You have a limit of 100 points for the gun. Remove attachments until it says 50/100 used and then you can equip the 200 round box.

Thank you, I understood your answer much better and easier.
I was hoping it would not have been as asinine as this because it's just such a stupid and ill thought out system to implement.
I was always told, do a good job - get a better job. So I thought, get good with this weapon and get unlocks. Obviously the challenged silly people that are running this show have different ideas.
Their outlook is if you get too good, you get punished, because this is what this feels like.
What **bleep** thought this would be a good way forward.

So, you grind one of your favourite weapons, get lots of unlocks, but then find you can't set it up the way you want because of restrictions.
For example, I can't have the 200 Round Ammo Belt pack, 1-6 Variable scope, Canted Sight, Bipod, Torch because I am over the point score on attachments?
I thought the idea of unlocks was to be able to use the weapons with the unlocked items the way you want to.
Have I got this all wrong, or am I correct in the way that I have understood this?

They didn't want you can Overpowered a Weapon.
I am Medic and don't use LMG, because of that. With PW5 or something else I survive longer.
