Casual Breakthrough is *not* the actual answer to PVE fans

While some may enjoy it more than pure PVP, it is still ultimately a PVP mode, just with an incredibly limited map selection. This mode is clearly not supposed to be a mode anyone actually plays, it's a barely expanded version of Breakthrough Initiation to funnel people into actual PVP.

About two weeks ago EA_Shepard posted in the steam forums saying that EA is listening to PVE players who wanted a more casual experience, if this is EA listening then EA is deaf. This is, at best, barely a half measure with minimum effort. At this point the single best solution EA could have would be to bring back Coop mode from 2042 the way it is now. Let us pick a map and mode grab up to 3 friends, and play with reduced XP, it's all a lot of us were doing with Portal anyways.

Yes, a solo/coop mode with its own progression would be stellar for sure. I wish!

I think that is a portion of my issue. They locked key progression of classes behind odd challenges. Like for example, I'm supposed to be purposefully missing targets with an LMG, but only against targets that are either spotted or already damaged and not currently healing in order to get any credit towards suppression.

  • I am one who plays very, very casually (being of an older generation). I have enjoyed BF and COD titles over the years and spend 80% of my time playing on my own against bots where I can match the skill level to my own. I get no enjoyment out of getting my backside kicked by a dozen 12 year olds! With Black Ops 7 round the corner and free if on game pass, EA need to think very carefully about this, or many players will simply shift to the new title that will undoubtedly let players like me play as I want, as well of course as letting the hardcore gamers play as they want. It is all about offering a choice.

The problem with separate progression is that it doesn't make any sense and you're effectively doubling the amount of time you'd need to play the game if you could only play against bots in lower player count regions. It's not a solution if it creates more problems.

Instead of going through that entire hurdle they should just enable all the unlocks in Portal and PvE. I would be fine with that so long as I still get career XP and can level up my account.

The EU and Brussels started to deal with EA through the XP scam and its portal. EA will have to pay damages, return changes or refund everyone's money regardless of platform. But those arrogant idiots think that won't happen. They are so arrogant that they don't understand that this is the whole EU vs one **bleep** homeless studio that only has investors.

The bots in casual breakthrough are ridiculous. They're too hard. Casual breakthrough essentially is to allows bad players like me to have fun by not playing against full time gamers. And the reflexes of these bots its not much better. Its supposed to be a good solution. Its not.

  • I played Caual for 2 hours.  I checked my number of kills on my profile.   And it not not progressed.  I understand bots don't count, but killing players doesn't count either.  No matter what your k/d drops because 0 kills count during casual
