Chat Text on PS5
Hi. I'm struggling to get the chat box up, and be able to even see it on the PS5? Is anyone else having this at all? How do you actually open it to access it please. Thanks.

Hi JennyB_010,You might have already tried this, but just to be safe, please try changing the setting back to its original configuration. Please try these steps on your PS5:
1. Restore Chat Visibility
• Go to Settings > Accessibility (or Graphics) > HUD General.
• Make sure "Show Chat Log" is set to "When Active" or "Always".
2. How to Open the Chat Box
• Press the Options button to open the pause menu, then press the Touchpad.
• Press the X button to start typing your message.
3. Switch Channels
• Once open, press L1 or R1 to switch between Team and Squad channels.
You can close the menu once you confirm it works, but if the buttons still don't respond, try resetting your controller bindings to default.
If it STILL doesn't work after the reset, it's a known button freeze glitch. Try this community workaround:
• Go to Settings > Controller > Keybindings.
• Temporarily rebind the chat function to a different button (like the D-pad), save it, and then change it back to the Touchpad. This will force the game to unfreeze the input data. Hope this helps!
