Cheaters.

EA, look.  People who are using a VPN, which I'm 100% sure is against the ToS, are cheaters.

When I've got to play against people with 140-220 ping... I know I'm playing against cheaters.  This isn't a "Oh, his ping spiked, bet his girl just started streaming a movie."  This is always, permanent, high ping.

And we all see these people with high ping DOMINATING the scoreboard.  We end the game, look at the scoreboard, and see those nice red numbers next to KDRs of 5/1 or greater.  We play against these people, wonder how in the world we lost a gunfight when they stood on a grenade, got hit with a missile, got shot by 3 guys, but they just jump in, kill you in one bullet that somehow registers as 20, and jumps out.

It's tiring.  Ya'll need to admit, at the very least, that this is a problem.  When you come out with these monthly posts about how "We're in control, there are no cheaters, there is no war in ba sing se.

And ya'll need to admit that it's not 5% of games we're having to deal with this.  It's 100% of the games.  100% of my games I have at least one, usually 4-8 players with red pings, 140 or greater, just wrecking face.  Just absolute immortals on the battlefield.

I'm tired of this.  Ya'll are the reason I won't be buying a PvP shooter ever again.  If no one is willing to do anything about cheaters, I'm done playing your games then.

Really? I rarely saw any high ping players dominate scoreboards. I play Gauntlet though. I think only once there were 1-2 players. The problem is not the ping but the fact that some players use smart cheats such as Cronus or XIM on ps5 and selectively choose the level of aim cheat, mostly during finals or when they know they need that extra boost, so they have ways to bypass the anticheat system. These are a real problem and EA seems that is not bothered to manually review them. However, I would say apart from a small minority which I can count with my hands, the game overall is the cleanest fps games from cheaters on ps5 at least. But now they screw up by wanting to remove Gauntlet, the mode that many of us play despite the bugs they never fixed and the netcode issues.

  • Some players have no choice but to play with high ping. EA has closed down a lot of servers in certain regions. Those players have no choice but to use VPN. And EA, they have been silent about it because they don’t want to admit fault. Or at least that I have not seen. Some yes just abuse it when they can. I played in NA servers and high ping players are at least half the player base in the mornings. I’m my opinion EA needs to do the right thing and bring those servers back or offer refunds to players who want it in those regions. But EA is greedy and will never do that.
