The visuals looked fine to me, game play is king though. Like others have mentioned, the game needs be accessible to a large number of people, not everyone has the most up to date PC. With that said, going off of memory, I think BF5 looks better, and that 2042 has a more pleasing color palette. BF6 looks a bit washed out to me, which is something you do if you're going to make the characters standout with a prominent color, but that's not what they did, so not sure why that choice was made.
Personally, the first thing I do in a game is put everything on low, then I tweak it from there after reading up if something can help visually with little to no impact on performance. Most of the Battlefield games have looked good like this to me though.
