Console bar on pc

Question

So Im playing on PC and every now and again if I jump or make an errant button mistake I have a command line prompt pop up in game that says console ?? I've tried typing, Stop, Quit, Exit - none of them work and I get stuck in game and have to reset my pc to get out of that command box. Anyone know the solution for this that doesn't require a PC restart ??

are you talking about when you hit the tilde button or whatever its called? just above tab? you can toggle that on and off from being able to use it in the settings.. but if you just hit that button it goes away, you dont have to just restart your pc.
