So why have you made it ok to have aim bots if you're using controller? It's clear as day that 80% of controller users are cheating, remove all "aim assist" that they hide behind. After that fix the ...
Guys, what tha h.... are you talking about? I play on both PC and xbox... and m+k is thousand times better and easier than controller... stop whining and crying...just git gud and take a look at the chart at the end of the match...never...and I repat.. NEVER seen console players on top of the board...prove me wrong otherwise you are just a crybaby.
We believe in fair play! We prefer competing against players who rely on their own natural SKILL, not the handheld, artificially assisted controller crowd. It's called aim assist for a reason; you are being assisted. And regardless of aim assist being strong or not, it's still there, along with less recoil, that you do benefit from. Therefore, you are NOT relying on your own natural skill level to compete. And just because YOU may be bad with a controller, doesn't mean the majority of other controller users are bad.
I do not know what region you two play in, but in my region (US East Coast), I see controller users on top of the scoreboard all the time. Most with an insane K/D ratio. Even low ranked players doing this. The ONLY reason they are even able to compete has nothing to do with raw skill, but everything to do with aim assist and less recoil. Let's take all that cheap BS away from controller users and see how well they do!
Just for you two. These screenshots are from recent matches I had joined already in progress. And some of these screenshots were taken BEFORE the match was over. Don't just look at the top of the scoreboard, notice the K/D ratio for controller users all over the scoreboard. If aim assist is as weak as some of you claim it to be, then why do I often see scoreboards like this? I know why, and you do to!
If gaming companies are going to allow controllers in their games, then there SHOULD be an option for those of us to avoid them.
Considering I own a pc, an Xbox, and ps5, I beg to differ. It’s a completely different experience. While aim assist “helps” tracking it almost always gets in the way, pushing your aim away from intended targets, especially at range. . I usually turn it down if not off. While you may be bragging about your “pc skill” vs other pc players, it isn’t even close how much easier it is to play the game well using m&k. Yes it takes skill to get that good, but it’s a level that control players can never reach. The easiest way to put it is that controller is more “feel based” but benefits from reduced recoil. PC is more mechanical but requires skill to be good. So while floor is higher for controller, ceiling isn’t even close in favor of pc.
full disclaimer: I play bf6 almost exclusively on ps5. And in many cases high k/d players are usually useless in conquest. They just farm kills while their team gets wiped. I have more respect for the players spending 30% of their time on objectives.
I see them on top of the boards all the time. We have no idea what your personal skill level is, and it's just anecdotal anyways.
Let's start from what's fair, no one should get any assistance with aiming whatsoever. One of the biggest skills that's needed for shooters is aiming! So no assist is what would be fair. I don't go to golf tournaments using hockey sticks demanding a greater handicap because of my choice of equipment. Nor would with this fly in iRacing. Can you imagine if they gave enough assist to controller that they would start winning races over people with full sim rigs? Why is that okay in shooters? There's literally only one reason why it's allowed, money. To sell copies to some super casual. Shooters aren't supposed to be that casual of genre, and if you were looking for a casual shooter, they're called single player games.
How things should work. PC and Console should be separated. Crossplay is hot garbage that should have been abandoned years ago. Console can have whatever assist they want, don't care. On PC however, there should be absolutely no assist, none. If you want to play shooters with your thumbs, get a console, want to play with a mouse against others who have to aim, get a PC. That's how it should be. That's how it used to be, it was so much better then. It's disgusting the amount of assist developers are willing to give only ONE input to make some sales.
The biggest whiners are controller players that don't get assist that plays half the game for them.
Battlefield was so much better back in the day before cross-play and controllers were allowed in the mix! MUCH BETTER! I understand it's to allow friends on different platforms to play together, and that's cool and all, but we played without those friends in the past! The game ran smoother without cross-play. Plus, I didn't have to deal with unmuted controller mics nearly every match! Ugh! 😫Cross-play should be optional for EVERYONE, not FORCED. And there should be an input-based matchmaking option as well. How hard this would be for them to implement; I have no clue. But if it's easy to do, then they should do it. A more enjoyable Battlefield is giving the players options for how they would like to play, and with who they'd like to play with.
I know I've beaten a dead horse with similar posts over and over, but I strongly believe controllers ruin FPS games and will eventually do the same to Battlefield. I don't want to see this happen is why I continue to speak out. Everyone else that feels the same, should speak out as well. Maybe they'll listen to us, but I'm certainly not expecting them to do so.
It was better. You could tell instantly back in the day when someone was using a script, now it just feels like everyone is doing it, because controllers have it built in! I miss the days where you could get people to miss their shots by strafing. Now, that doesn't happen. Every death in any FPS with controllers is just instant, no bullets wasted. Cronus plus aim assist is basically impossible to beat if you're playing fair with a mouse, at least close range fights.
I think the only hope is for an indie developer to come along and give us something interesting and fair. These big studios are passionless money grabbers that only care about big flashy trailers to get their shareholders excited. You can't be creative or fair in that environment.
