Deadzone set to 0 it's not really 0

Playing on controller i noticed that i don't have stick drift with 0 deadzone. At that point, with an input controller reading, i PROVED that deadzone set to 0 in game and on controller, its not 0 but it's an higher value that makes impossibile making microadjustment, they are not getting captured.
I made a video PROVING this issue. Hope it will get fixed because the game looks incredibile, but because of this, might gatekeep some players by playing it properly.

  • I wonder if Xbox controllers have this issue too, or if it's only PlayStation controllers?

    On xbox, i was able to get stick drift on hipfire (which would be 0 deadzone), but not when i zoom in or start moving around with hipfire

    a lot more noticeable when you aim down sight, there's still axial deadzone

    Yup it was fine in the beta but on launch the deadzone settings are bugged which makes micro adjustments impossible. It feels like 0% deadzone is actually like 10%.

  • I'm on Xbox and I'm having this issue with tanks. I tested for stick drift and 100% don't have it. I will tap my Lts and my tank will just keep turning and then when I move it the other way it will start going the other way and just keep turning. I have checked settings and found nothing. I'm not some noob who has never played. I have been tanking since bf 4. I don't know if it's a bug or a feature. If it is a feature let me turn it off.

    I'm having this issue with a ds4 too. No matter if I set dz to 0 I still have massive deadzone, zero stick drift even if I poke at the stick. I know the stick is good I've tested it in joy.cpl and it works just fine in other games. It ruins the game for me I cannot deal with dz. 

  • What happens if instead of setting the analog stick deadzone to 0, you raise it to as high as it'll go to say 100.

    I wonder if DICE has the deadzone values backwards.
