Devs - I have a solution! (Maybe)

It's no secret that the community of BF is split. Some love the new game, but there is also a large portion of feedback referring to what is seen as a step away from traditional BF, and more in line with COD. Quick scoping, 180 turns in a milli second, sliding into a room and killing with pin point accuracy, the fast and furious pace of many of the games. As a die hard fan of the series since the very beginning, I have noticed the shift. But I don't believe the maps, the game play itself or the mechanics are the problem. It's not a new COD. It's the style of play that the younger generation of gamers embrace. Streaming, competitive gaming, bragging rights posted on YouTube shorts showing crazy kill streaks where the movement and speed is set too MAX sensitivity.

And this is the issue. There is still a large section of gamers, maybe the old and the bold, people who grew up playing battlefield but cant commit the time to be anything other than a casual gamer. Families, work, kids - not to mention eyesight, reflexes, and general skill - yes, age takes its toll. I'm not writing people like me (47 y/o) off, there are some **bleep** good players out there who are not 21 anymore! But people 'like me' cant keep up with the new kids on the block. And we don't want too. We are not the generation of instant dopamine gratification, salivating over our K/D score, we grew up playing old school battlefield in our own way. A bit slower, a bit more tactical, a bit less fast and furious. (Yes, I am generalising. There are exceptions. But myself and all my buddies off the same age think this. And from what I am reading, so are others).

So here's my idea. Why not cater to both play styles? Set up a separate game mode, tailored for those who want a slower style of play. Cap the sensitivity settings to a relastic level. Slow the pace down of movement - literally. Knock off 10-15%. Remove sliding mechanics. This will naturally lead to a slower more tactical game style. If you can not pivot around in 0.0002 seconds you are far more likely to consider your position, your approach etc.

The issue with the game causing so much heated debate online isn't the game at all. It's not bad matchmaking. It's not cheating. It's the difference in playing style between the older generation and the newer. (In general- again, there are exceptions).

Give us old school battlefield players the option to the game style we grew up playing. Who knows, some of the lightening fast players may even forget about their kill streaks, and enjoy the slower mode! Create a separate game mode, allow us to choose.

You'll find so many of the gripes and moans will disappear.
