Dice has officially Killed Hardcore

I have played battlefield since bad company 1, I am almost an exclusively hardcore player. This new portal update has killed any kind of progression for me. Literally cannot do anything. I don’t understand it. It is incredibly frustrating. 
I tried a couple games of core and it’s nothing but cod players running and gunning for kills and not playing the objective. This new update has really left a sour taste in my mouth. I don’t know the answer to the XP farms but this wasn’t it.
