Does dealing damage to armor help with game ranking?

Question:  When dealing damage to armor, do those points figure into your standing at the end of the game?

I main engineer and deal a lot of damage to armor, but in so doing, my K/D is terrible because getting close to armor always results in several deaths trying to take it out.

Still, I choose to do this because the tactic can result in denial of caps for the enemy, which helps the team, but at the end of game, my standing is the bottom of the team even though I've helped quite a bit.

So, is the standing you see at the end of game just k/d, or is it calculated from other points, like dealing damage?

If it's not added to the standing, it should be.
