EA is clearing blocked list because... why?
Look, I block a lot of people. EA refused to make the decision to allow me to turn off consolebots, so I block them instead. It's an insane method, but it's the only method I've been provided.
But WHY clear my block lists? I also block obvious cheaters. I block a guy, I report him, mute him, move on with my life. In my game next match. Well, ok, the matchmaking system is bad, but what's this? He is no longer blocked or muted. If you see a guy go 109/17 in a match, where the rest of the players are typically going 20-30 kills, and he's infantry only? I think I'm not the crazy one here.
Now I'm wondering what the reason is. Some people still stay blocked. Usually the guys with 180 ping who are clearly breaking ToS (well, I assume) by using a VPN to avoid region locks and abusing lag to win. But some people don't.
Maybe EA isn't really in control of their servers. I think the hackers are in to a point they can direct my reports/blocks/etc to another account, or just a dead account, or something. So when I report "hacker", what is actually happening is I'm reporting "account that doesn't exist."
OR, maybe the system is just broken. Always attribute to ineptitude rather than malfeasance and all that.
I'll go to these account that are linked to their Steam, and you'd never guess what region they're from. Though, most of the Steam accounts in that region are probably also stolen so eh.
