Enough is enough. Tried hard but leaving :(
I tried. I really tried to adapt to this new reality and play multiplayer like everyone else. I put in over a dozen hours this weekend. Many matches across different modes. And I had exactly one game — just one — where I actually felt like I had fun. Every other match was nothing but pain and frustration. The opponents are way, way too strong for me. Surviving longer than a minute feels like an achievement. So I’ve come to the conclusion that this just doesn’t make any sense anymore.
I bought the game in good faith. I believed EA and DICE when they promised that I would be able to play PvE. Even after launch, when hosting your own server wasn’t possible, I was still having fun. I managed to find servers that had both players and bots. Those matches were enjoyable. I actually had a chance to do something, even if real players destroyed me — at least I could get a few bots. Now? There’s nothing. Sure, I can play on bot servers, but I unlock nothing there. And with the kind of results I get in multiplayer, I’m not unlocking much there either. The game has simply stopped making sense for me. So I’m uninstalling it from my console.
Dear EA/DICE,
You have my money. You broke sales records thanks to players like me. I’m glad I could help. But don’t expect anything more. I will not buy battle passes (how am I supposed to level them anyway? I wouldn’t even complete 20% of it). I’m not buying skins. I know I’m just a single player and you probably don’t care — but there are many others like me.
Dear veterans,
Since you keep encouraging us casuals to play multiplayer, and insist it’s unfair for us to gain progress against bots (even though it’s apparently perfectly fair that you gain even faster progress by farming players like me), and since you’re happy to have easy kills like us in the enemy team — then at least don’t trash talk us if you’re unlucky enough to end up on our side. Don’t call us noobs, don’t tell us to go play Candy Crush, don’t claim we’re worthless. Be at least consistent. You complained that casuals could make progress on bots — so now don’t complain when you have casuals on your team.
And just for curiosity, I’m attaching a screenshot from my best game today, lol. Why was it my best? Because I managed to die the least.
