Extremely Unbalanced Matchmaking in Battlefield 6
I want to express my frustration regarding the matchmaking balance in Battlefield 6. Many times I’m placed in matches against players who are far more experienced than I am — and the opposite also happens: sometimes I get matched against players who are far less experienced. In both situations, the game becomes frustrating and unfair. This becomes even more noticeable when the match is completely one-sided. It often feels like the outcome is predetermined from the very beginning because the teams are formed in an extremely unbalanced way. This takes away all the fun of playing. I believe there should be stricter limits on how far apart players’ skill levels can be within the same match — a smaller, more controlled range. And yes, I do believe that at some level, SBMM is healthy for the game. Usually, the only players who argue against SBMM are the highly skilled ones who benefit from facing new or casual players. I’m not saying skilled players don’t deserve anything. They worked hard, they improved, and they deserve to be rewarded. But highly skilled players should be matched primarily against each other so that the experience is fair and enjoyable for everyone. Right now, I feel like an amateur weekend football player being put on the field against Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi. It just doesn’t make sense. I genuinely hope the development team considers adjusting this to improve the overall player experience.
