Feature Request: Save My Experience across Updates.
Feature Proposal: Save My Experience – Preserve Player Preferences Across Updates
Dear Battlefield Studios Team,
I would like to propose a player-focused feature called Save My Experience.
Battlefield 6 is a constantly evolving game, and updates are essential for security, balance, stability, and new content. However, updates can also change the way the game looks, sounds, and feels for individual players.
Many players invest considerable time adjusting their graphics, audio, controller sensitivity, aiming preferences, HUD visibility, and accessibility settings. When an update changes the underlying behavior of these systems, their carefully tuned experience may no longer feel the same, even when the saved numerical settings remain unchanged.
The proposal
Introduce a Save My Experience system that would:
- Save a complete snapshot of the player's graphics, audio, controller, aiming, HUD, and accessibility settings before major updates.
- Clearly explain which aspects of the player experience an update may affect, using understandable language rather than version numbers alone.
- Offer a before-and-after comparison for visual, audio, and control changes where technically possible.
- Allow players to restore previous personal settings and select legacy presentation profiles where these remain technically compatible.
- Keep essential security, multiplayer compatibility, and gameplay balance updates mandatory for everyone.
Why this matters
A player should not have to spend hours recreating a satisfying experience after every update.
Giving players more control over their personal experience could improve satisfaction, trust, accessibility, and long-term engagement while reducing avoidable frustration and support requests.
This proposal is not about preventing the game from evolving. It is about allowing the game to evolve without unnecessarily undoing the personal experience players have already worked to achieve.
Update the game. Preserve the experience.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.
