Forcing console players against PC is killing this game
I honestly don’t understand how we’re having this exact same conversation again.
Being forced to play on a controller against PC players (and anyone on mouse and keyboard) is completely draining all the fun out of this game. The gap in movement, flicking, and precision is insane. Half the time I drop before I can even pull the trigger, and even PC players in chat joke about how console players just feel like easy AI bots. And they're right. Every time a gunfight actually feels fair, balanced, and fun, it’s always against another controller.
We literally went through this with BF 2042. So many of us ended up downloading the last-gen version just to get away from PC lobbies and actually enjoy console-only matchmaking. Did no one take any notes from how much that hurt the player base? What stings the most is that before launch, a dev told us console-only crossplay was on the table. Then out of nowhere, an EA executive shuts it down and basically gives us an ultimatum: either take full global crossplay or turn it off and enjoy empty lobbies. It feels like a slap in the face.
Meanwhile, the game is full of glaring issues that keep getting pushed aside:
Still no persistent server browser
Broken matchmaking that disbands lobbies every single match
Horrible desync and hitreg problems between platforms
Blatant balance issues that just sit there for months
Yet the store updates never miss a beat. New skins roll out without delay, but basic gameplay integrity is an afterthought.
The player count is already bleeding, and feeding console players into an unfair meat grinder is just driving the rest of us away. I haven’t spent a single dime on microtransactions, and I won’t. If this is how EA and the devs are going to treat console players, I’m done buying your games, from this franchise or this publisher altogether.
Give us console-only crossplay, fix the core game, and stop ignoring the people who actually want to love this game.
