Forum design to silence complaints

This forum was designed to discourage big complains how? did u noted that when the thread gets bigger you cannot navigate freely there is no button to go to the last message or any specific page so you would need to stand there like a fool clicking view more... view more... for about 10+ minutes to get to the newest message and if you close the window guess what u need to do that again do you think that's not intentional?

another point for EA good job.

  • It's nothing related to silencing complaints,  it's just not optimal design.

  • danisoff  "it's just not optimal design"

If that's what you think, then fair enough. However, I am leaning toward what Alphadan is saying.

What's with all this "Show More" crap anyway. Why doesn't it just keep scrolling so you can read the responses in order without having to constantly keep "Showing More" and trying to find out where you are in the response trail?

There's "Optimal Design" and then there is outright stupidity.

  • It needs to be better i think. the look is good. But hard to read what others say.

  • AlphadanDG  If you quickly want to see newest reactions first you can change the sorting order via profile- my settings - preferences - Replies and Comments - Default sort order. See picture, if set newest to oldest you will always see the most recent reactions first.

It does not solve the issue of having to click show more when threads have grown bigger and bigger though. I agree this is not a very user friendly design.
