Game seems worse after last patch

Anyone else finding that the game feels worse?

Finding more and more instances of significant desyn or something going on with hitting certain players. Just now, I manage to catch some player with 4 hits from the NVO from about 20m while he was jumping over a wall and trying to get behind a destroyed car, the hit indicator flashed the colour I have it set to to indicating I was landing hits, I manage to hit him with a nade that dropped to his feet, and then manage to empty the NVO clip while we were trading shots, switching to pistol, seeing the nade explode on him and then instantly dying died in 1 hit and he still had 75 HP on the little icon thingy that pops up…. Like come on dice/EA this **bleep** shouldn’t be happening… its 2026 ffs…

    One thing I noticed: it takes me longer (far longer sometimes) to down a human player than a bot.

    Probably cause the bot isn’t desyned and hits register correctly.

    I also suspect that there might be a bug that causing console players to double dip with damage for the same hit in some instances. I keep noticing that when I die to a nade launcher, I’ll see 2 damage hits from it. Visually it hit the ground or a wall nearby, but I take 2 lots of damage from it causing an instant downing instead of just taking splash damage. Same with shotguns, shoots once, 2 damage hits register to the same body part and I’m downed instantly.

     

  • Oh yeah.  I have not played in a while and yesterday spent a few hours playing.  I saw 2 tanks in the air on two different maps, I've never seen that before, they were destroyed, floating up, then disappeared, so yeah, desync.

    Placing mines was a chore, so I gave up.  It took much longer than usual to go through the animation placing the mine, it was as though the game was deciding if the zone was okay to place the mine, or the zone was 'crowded' and that logic took longer than normal resulting in too much time to get the mine placed.

    And my biggest beef yesterday was the amount of enemy and armor and little birds showing up right in front or behind me killing me.  The enemy infantry was the worse because when they killed me, the outline of the enemy was right in a spot I JUST PASSED a second ago and no one was there!

    I suspect the game will smooth out and the complaints are regular for patches, but yes, this go around things are noticeable,  very.

  • I just came back from a couple hours of grinding and yes, something is definately off.  Rocks are shimmering and spinning and enemy seem to appear out of no where.  I'm putting it away until the next patch, maybe the net code will improve.  I've never complained about net code or enemies appearing from no where, this is the first time I've actually experienced this sort of de-sync behavior in the game.

    I've had multiple games where I've got unplayable lag yet my ping is fine and there are no packet loss icons. There was a brief moment in time where the netcode was perfect and I could actually hit my shots, but now I just die over and over and get one-shotted by a player after I've unloaded a clip.

    it seems network connection on both sides really plays a fundamental role, isn't it. Desynch due to lag, packet loss, etc...

    Will it ever be solved? As no connection is always perfect.

    I haven’t seen shimmering rocks, but I did notice that my graphic settings were changed and looking very grainy and had a massive amount of blur when moving even with motion blur turned off. Looking down a sniper scope and everything was just blended together and infantry was near impossible to see. Spent some time fine turning my settings again and now it’s back to non grainy and blurry when moving looking around.

    I’ve always seen floating tanks everywhere and then, especially the turret, almost like a Russian t90 space program, but now there floating infantry just running forwards into the air. lol
