Heli flight assist

So iv been messing around with the Helicoptor alot and I noticed you have to manually go into the settings menus to toggle On or Off flight assist?? Is there not an option to have it keybound to the Shift key? 

With my control setup I bind Yaw and pitch to my mouse so the Heli controlls like my character would holding his weapon.  This makes it easier for me to shoot and combat in the skies.  I bind roll to the A and D keys. However with flight assist toggle ON I cannot roll the helicopter and thus can't do evasive maneuvers well.  With it toggle Off I can't hover the vehicle well at all to try and help take obj, but can do fast evasive movement better. 

I looked through the settings for a flight assist keybind and there is none. I have to choose to play with it on or off? It seems like there should be a keybind to toggle it at will while flying, am I missing something, and any recommendations from veteran pilots? Im a newish pilot having only really started off and on a year ago in 2042.
