HOSAS/HOTAS support.

Can we please get proper support for using HOSAS and HOTAS, Flying heli's and jets has always been a part of battlefield...

The best way to fly is to use flight sticks.
The ingame settings have an option for Joystick... But that's just it...
1 single joystick...

Most people will fly with flight sticks that are multiple controllers such as HOSAS aka hand on stick on stick (2x joysticks)
Or HOTAS   aka hand on throttle on stick ( 1x joystick and a throttle)

That's 2 controllers each but the game won't let us use 2 controllers.

Which sucks by the way and it's completely lazy to leave this support out of the game considering flying is always a big part of battlefield. and we have been asking again and again.

Thank you for adding "joystick" in the settings but can you add another one so our other controller works too?
Because using a keyboard and a stick is horrible and its not immersive or fun.

I know we could use emulators of xbox controllers but that's not the same, they are buggy and can be blocked or flagged by anti cheats, so that's not an option we want to use.

I agree 100%,!  Sad as this sounds I do not believe the Devs/Dice/or anyone involved in this Game really cares about finding a solution to whom they consider niche players.  I, like you find the game to be Immersive and realistic while piloting with a Joystick/HOSAS/HOTAS and have made many threads referring to this very question since the alpha tests began last year.

During the life of BF2042 I asked the same and sadly the response was similar......Silence!

I am aware of only one software, Joy2Key but be advised Windows 11 will not run this, at least I could not get it to run and it has high Lag/latency while using it.

Again I respond. without the support of fellow Gamers this will continue to fall under the map.  This has always been one of my questions to the Devs, If Controller can be added for console support then why not Joystick/HOTAS for PC Gamers?

  • You can try to bind and map a joystick (like my Logitech Extreme 3d Pro) but the throttle will never work correctly. There is no "middle setting" like a volume knob. It's either full throttle or off throttle, like a switch. This was one of my major complaints with BF2042 also. All they need to do is include mapped defaults for axis' and variable throttle.

During a ban on my EA account (I reported a VERY abusive voice chat user, and I got banned at the same time by AI, and of course EA stood behind the ban. Pretty stupid on their part.), I bought and installed Arma Reforger, started it, ran perfectly, plugged in my Logitech joystick, instantly recognized it and I was flying helicopters flawlessly without configuring ANYTHING!

Battlefield1942 was the best game and EA has been ruining it since Battlefield 1. Now here we are in2026 getting wrongly banned by AI and we cant even play the game we purchased in SINGLE PLAYER MODE while our account is wrongly banned!

This needs to change very soon or EA will be losing a LotOT of older gamers like myself!

I want Dice/Battlefield Team to get any Joystick/HOTAS to config within the game settings for pc players, I used a Joystick through many other Battlefield Titles to pilot any aircraft which in turn made the game more realistic/immersive.

Microsoft is partly to blame (being fair) as some Drivers/Software are not compatible with Win 11, but if the Game supported the Hardware this would encourage the Companies to provide and update Firmware/Software.

Emulators runs the risk of earning you a Ban, there is software but none of these offer the response or programming as the native Game/software.

Joystick/Hotas works like any console joypad, button and Axis assignment.  I hope everyone  continues to meet our goal.
