i could see this being viable on RedSec but not in normal multiplayer. the player is considered "incapacitated" while in a downed state before they die when playing normal multiplayer. in RS, players have armor and many other means to eliminate players so i doubt a handful of rounds from a pistol would eliminate or "down" an enemy pursuing the kill. you have one working arm. you can scoot to cover while downed but cannot fire. once a buddy grabs you, you can help deter an enemy attempting to finish you off but it cannot be lethal.

attrition is the game on normal multiplayer.
