It’s not you. I've been playing competitive shooters on PC since 2002, starting with CS 1.5. I stepped away from competitive play in 2008 and then shifted to semi competitive play in CoD and BF. The game design today is engineered to deliver maximum dopamine in short bursts, but the downside is burnout, and it happens quickly.
You’re already beginning to see signs of that, which I’m sure their teams of analysts are well aware of by now. How many players leave the lobby the moment the Empire maps loads? Behind the scenes they’re starting to feel the pressure.
