Its incredibly dumb that strafing slightly whilst shooting ADS increases bloom

I honestly think this is the worst mechanic in an FPS game.

It is common knowledge in most FPS games over the years that people who stand still and shoot are BAD players. The skill expression is - strafing to make it harder to be shot at and confuse your opponents aim.

Now in BF instead, the game takes away your accuracy and skill and replaces it with random bullet deviation all in the name of "burst fire". Like what? If I wanted to play Halo burst fire guns then I'd play that instead.

This mechanic is so terrible it basically DESTROYS skill expression as you are forced to just stand still and shoot like a complete BOT.

If dice were serious about improving gun play they would dramatically or remove bloom altogether.  It won't change the dynamics of the player base as bad FPS players will always be bad and good players will always be good and thats why there are roles in BF.

  • Which battlefield game does not increase spread when moving?

It is a very well known trade-off.

Count your lucky stars that I am not in charge because I would have made it much greater.
You are shooting a gun at full auto and not watering plants in the garden with a water hose.

Try using a camera to take a burst of pictures of a target which is a few tens of meters away while moving like that and tell me how many are centered on your target.

Its 2025 and you are still using realism to argue in video games? Your aura just screams bad player. Get out of the forums cos your arguments are meek and it correlates to you being a BOT.

Your entire counter argument is a string of ad hominems...

What does that say about YOU, Blueberry?

UP_Hawxxeye The guy is clearly a COD player, they all seem to think that sliding and jumping while shooting is somehow plausible. That’s why they run around like rabid baboons, chasing that constant dopamine hit.

I’d remove the ridiculous sliding mechanics altogether and dramatically increase recoil for hip-firing or shooting while sprinting.

I know it’s not meant to be ARMA, but right now it feels like a COD clone — and honestly, it’s just boring. Maybe that’s why so many players have already moved on.

How original. Calling every criticism and argument against a game, COD players?

Is your brain so far into echo chambers that you have adopted the same talking points low IQ people gravitate to.

Learn to appreciate good and bad things in ALL games. Just cos COD has something or just cos Apex or just cos Marvel rivals has something doesn't mean its a bad thing.

  • The ignorance is off the charts. Recoil and/or bloom penalties for moving are great for this game.

"It is common knowledge in most FPS games over the years that people who stand still and shoot are BAD players."

Says who? CSGO or Valorant players would say the exact opposite. Your claim only applies in games where there is no penalty for moving or shooting.

"The skill expression is - strafing to make it harder to be shot at and confuse your opponents aim."

"This mechanic is so terrible it basically DESTROYS skill expression"

Bro! If you think holding down shoot and spamming strafing is "skill expression", I don't know what to tell you. That is such a low bar. There is much more skill expression when there are tradeoffs to things. Situations to tap, burst, spray, mix strafes and standing still, etc.

BTW, in BF3, BF4, 2042, Planetside2, etc. burst-firing and managing weapon bloom has ALWAYS been a big part of being effective. If you've been mag-dumping every fight, that's a big part of why you struggle so much in these games.

"as you are forced to just stand still and shoot like a complete BOT."

Skill issue. I don't see CS or Valorant players standing still like bots. They seem to mix in a ton of movement, despite their games having massively more movement penalties than BF6.

Also, I choose to stand still pretty frequently in BF6 (because of my CSGO/Valorant hours--where I'm top 0.1%), yet I guarantee that I am better than you at all battlefield games (and all FPS).
