Look, instead of 8 player squads. Just make it so your Online Friends that aren't in your squad are represented by a different UI color than your teammates or squad mates.
Teammates: Blue
Squadmates: Green
Online Friends: (Whatever Color You Want)
This effectively solves the problem with wanting to play with more of your friends and being able to identify them at a glance without changing the party system in any significant way.
As a gamer my whole life i feel like this should be possible in 2025. Simple effective. Helps people that want to game with more friends. Keeps squads separate, keeps it fair. Please make joining friend squads easier. Put them in the highest SBMM if you need to even the playing field. Just because we have friends doesn’t mean they are good. Just good company.
