Also I can tell you my k/d does not improve with a gun when I get the high end stuff unlocked.
And I don't get massive kill counts, maybe between 8 and 12 kills a game on average.

It is a mistake to perceive tools like the attachments as rewards.
The accolades, the cosmetics and the stats are the rewards
Also anyone putting 10x the effort is better by default when using the same kit as someone who does not.
