Massive criticism of flight gameplay, map design and "noob-focused" lock-ons
Hello everyone,
I need to vent my frustration about the current state of Battlefield. As a long-time fan of the franchise, I am extremely disappointed with the current concept. The gameplay feel for vehicles and maps is a massive step backwards compared to previous titles. Here are the points that are currently destroying the gameplay:
Completely broken air balance (Noob Missiles): The "noobish" guided missiles are an absolute joke. They literally empower every player to troll experienced pilots without any skill involved. The fact that you can lock onto any pilot from the middle of the map the moment they take off completely removes any tactical depth.
Inferior flight controls: The controls for jets and helis are simply bad compared to older versions (like BF3/BF4). The precise, direct flight feeling is gone and has been replaced by spongy mechanics.
Maps too small and spawn camping: The "mini-maps" prevent any decent dogfights. You can't even gain altitude without immediately being targeted by AA or campers.
Base defense failure: Constant spawn camping at vehicle spawn points has become the norm. Players are deliberately exploiting mechanics to block or steal helis/jets. The fact that the stationary base Gatling/AA completely ignores enemy vehicles and allows spawn trapping by enemy helis is a major design flaw.
What were you thinking? You are taking away the space for experienced players and giving trolls all the tools with these low-skill weapons. This needs to be fixed immediately!
