Matchmaking fills games with bots during off-peak hours

The current matchmaking system in Battlefield 6 is deeply flawed. As many of you are aware, the Asian servers have seen a massive exodus of players recently.

While there are several factors, the primary culprit is the broken matchmaking. During off-peak hours (early morning), at least half of the slots in a match are filled with bots. If this were simply due to a lack of players, it might be understandable, but Battlefield 6’s current concurrent player count does not justify this level of bot population.

This is clearly a systemic issue, creating a vicious cycle where frustrated players leave the game for good. I earnestly request that you normalize the matchmaking system as soon as possible so that the Asian community can return to the game we love.

  • Oceanic region-covers asia, Australia and NZ

Depending where in australia you live you will bounce of the sydney or asia server.

Sadly it is what it is, asia server is usually low of players, sydney one is generally quite full.

They should pull the asian one and just let everyone bounce off sydney.

In saying that i played 4 games of conquest last night with no bots back to back

  • The game is at what, a 92% reduction in players since launch?  And more leave every day.
It's even funnier because there were a lot of people who wanted to ONLY play against bots and didn't want real player lobbies.  Those players were told that they won't get what they want.  Then, the players who want ONLY real player lobbies can't opt out of automatic filling with bots.

So no one gets what they want.  Instead of making changes, EA has... fixed a recoil bug that barely affected gameplay that they created themselves.

  • Very glad that this is getting alot of discussion. This has been an issue in asia since the launch of the game. I dot even need to go through what the issue is as you can read the other posts that reported it.

Because of the bots, i basically stopped playing the game now. Which means im not going to buy the battle pass that EA desperately want us to buy. Which i suspect a lot of people are too.

Hey EA, if you want people to actually buy the battle pass, maybe put in an actual server browser and persistent servers so that people can find a FULL match even during non peak hours.

i'm battlefield 6 user in south korea.

in asia server, most of the time, you'll have to play against bots.

We want to play with players.

Battlefield 2042's matchmaking system better than Battlefield 6's matchmaking system

    please fix.

    thank you.

    I agree
They make you play with bots for $100.

  • Unless it’s during the 3–4 hour peak time in the Asia region, most matches end up being filled with bots.

This problem has persisted for more than five months since launch, and Asian players have completely run out of patience.

Fix the fake matchmaking system that creates lobbies filled with bots and starts matches with only 6–10 real players while the remaining 24 slots are occupied by bots.

At this point, any change would be better than the current situation.

The Asia servers are effectively unplayable, and urgent improvements are needed.
