Putting high skilled in with noobs does not unbalance matches as long as each team has equal distribution of noobs and experienced players.
Battlefield has always done TEAM matchmaking, not individual. It does assess skill with an algorithm of sorts, but only so it can put a team together with the same 'power'.
Whilst I actually have nothing against SBMM that attempts to put together a whole lobby that matches skill level (I will never understand why 'skilled' players like to noob stomp) the team balancing concept is fine.
If you want to stay alive, stay with your squad - follow high-ranking players - support them. Learn and benefit from team play.
No, you will not have a good 1v1 chance against every player in the enemy team. So don't go 1v1.
