Melee weapon destruction seriously overvalued

Whoever on the team that is WAY overvaluing a melee weapon having destruction needs to just stop.  The only cool thing about the EOD bot arm was that it had destruction, but now I hear that's going away.

Who was out there just dominating the game because that was even a thing?  "Watch out now, little Timmy broke down half a house with a bot arm!  He's really influencing the state of the match!"  Who is saying this?

3/4 of the players don't even use their melee weapons.  Probably more actually.  I mean, what actually are the stats on melee weapons even being used, let alone how often they actually result in a kill.

And who is using the Sledgehammer even?  My experience in game, with 465 hours, is a hefty ZERO amount of players I ever see with a sledgehammer.  

You want to make a real change?  Either give all melee weapons the speed boost, or simply just remove the CS reference in 2026 and let people just sprint the same speed, or add another hold toggle that just lowers all weapons and that's what gives players the speed boost, instead of tying it to a knife.

Because everyone just carries the knife because they only use it for about 10 seconds to sprint to a helo faster at the start of match.  After that, you'll never see a melee weapon again.  The destruction of the sledge, and the good version of the EOD arm was a gimmick.  It's never useful enough in game where a person thinks "Oh I need the destruction melee weapon FOR SURE."
