Mouse control is being intentionally hampered?!

So not only are controllers given aim assist, recoil reduction, rotational slowdown and whatever else, it turns out mouse control is intentionally hampered regarding recoil control: -

Abdullah (lql_00 on Twitter)
"There is a serious problem with how recoil interacts with mouse input in BF6"

"We are looking into it. I don't think it's a bug we are looking at though, recoil essentially is "added" to you aim input so if you move your aim against the recoil, it will feel more sluggish, if you move your aim with the recoil, it will accelerate it."

However you feel about trying to 'even up' controller and MnK, this is horrendous.

Added to the fact they won't even talk about cross-play options for PC players, this stinks really badly.

Add to that the reports that people managing to play with cross-play OFF on PC are finding gunplay feels much better and it stinks even more.

EA/DICE have a lot of explaining to do.

  • It's hard to admit that sometimes you just got out played.... 

    PC users are generally at the top of the leader boards at the end of the game.   And usually they have the most kills.

    Jumping on a band wagon of buzz words, how about example then ?

    You are just bad at game and blaming everything , what you want no recoil at all? 

    Bulletspread in this game is too random and there's no distingue patterns like CS to adjust too. If you spent 5 mins in firing range it would be obvious. 

    Obviously as Steam player I play on console, must be gamecube right?

    Classic MAD cuz BAD rants ! 🤣

    What are you talking about? I gave the documented proof, never mind an example. Learn to read.

    Want no recoil at all? I want the mouse to work properly is all. Learn to read. I do not want recoil removed, I want the fake mouse input hampering removed.

    Bullet spread is totally different to recoil. Do you know how this game works?

    Ok, you don't play console. So why the weird aggressive attacks? Just trolling I guess.

    you can sense yes, i'm saying since day 1 that tracking targets while shooting is broken and indeed it is, this is  such a dumb thing

    Yes this is a big problem, i notice this every single time i play.

    Try to track a target while shooting, that will happen, this "feature" will fight agaisnt you, you can't track targets properly because of this, never see a game do this intentionally, what the hell ! remove this immediately. the mouse movement will literally feel really bad or really fast depending on the gun/recoil ....

    I'm not 'copying' and the guy is not a favourite at all, he simply made me aware of a really bad mechanic that explains the awful way some guns/gunfights feel.

    It's not sensationalising to say this 'hidden' mechanic is a truly awful idea that when pretty much anyone hears about it is appalled given how bad gunplay can feel currently and this is making it worse by design.

    It should not effect mouse or controller. This isn't about cross-play, or at least it shouldn't be.

    It is EA/DICE that have made it about cross-play by the terrible design choice of simultaneously handing controllers a recoil reduction and mouse a recoil acceleration when nearly all users that have a preference want cross-play off anyway.

    This has nothing to do with the stupid PC vs console cross-play BS or 'getting out-played' by anyone.

    In completely PC or MnK lobbies no one will want this bad mechanic that makes gunplay feel worse. Gunplay already has many issues and now we find out there is a mechanic making it worse intentionally?

    Yes, it makes it even worse that DICE hand controllers a recoil reduction at the same time as adding recoil enhancement to mouse, but it's not the main point.

    Honestly, I don't understand the frustration over this. People act like this is a horrible mechanic, but what is the alternative? When you are moving your aim, how else should latetal recoil have an affect? None? That doesn't make sense. If you move against the horizontal recoil, the resultant total movement should be less, and towards it, the resultant total movement should be more. Just like it is. Just like what happens with vertical recoil.

    And it isn't like that isn't the same thing that happens when you play on PC with a controller, or on a console with mouse and keyboard.
