I don't think they are overthinking, they want the immigrants from COD 7 which is great for sales. battle Royale definitely changes how BF plays for more of a run and gun style, it seems all classes will be allowed to carry 2 weapons, 2 gatgets which definitely breaks completely from what BF should be. This will definitely appeal to COD, fornite, so on ..... players
The only thing missing is the appeal to the base players. I hope the base game focuses on the strategic and team based play. Hybrid weapon system its a must at this point. Can't wait to see what they'll do
