Nice "parity." Consoles can disable crossplay, PC can't. Why?
This logic is just fascinating.
* Console Player: "I don't want to play with PC."
* Developer: "Understandable, sir. Here's your 'Disable Crossplay' button. Have a nice day."
* PC Player: "I don't want to play with consoles."
* Developer: "How absurd! Shut up and play with whoever we tell you to. Oh, and buy this skin."
This is second-class treatment, simple as that.
And it's just another item on the long list of "things we copied from CoD and botched." Yes, it was CoD that shoved this crossplay trend down the FPS genre's throat. But it seems Battlefield only copies the concept and forgets to copy the execution (like, for example, giving equal options to everyone).
The franchise did just fine for decades without this. Now that they've decided we need it, the bare minimum we ask for is the same level of control that other platforms get.
If the feature can be disabled on console, it MUST be possible to disable it on PC.
There is no technical or logical justification for this not being an option
