Petition Save Battlefield 6 modes before It's too late.
The Issue
To Electronic Arts and DICE. We, a large and passionate community of Battlefield players, are demanding accountability over the recent removal of key game modes, specifically Rush, Tactical Obliteration, Squad Death match, and King of the Hill.
Countless players purchased Battlefield 6 specifically to play these modes. Removing them without warning is not a minor adjustment, it is a betrayal of the trust players placed in this franchise, and it risks driving away the very people who kept this game alive.
These modes were quietly stripped out following the patch 1.4.1.5 update on August 4th, with zero warning to the community that funds this game. EA claimed the goal was to, quote, improve matchmaking quality by focusing players into the playlists seeing the most activity. That explanation does not hold up. These modes were not unpopular, they were made invisible, buried in custom search and Portal instead of being properly supported. Low engagement caused by poor visibility is not the same as low demand.
The backlash speaks for itself. One player, after 470 hours invested in the game, was granted a full refund by Steam over these removals alone, an almost unheard of outcome that shows exactly how deep the damage runs. Thousands more voices across Reddit and the EA forums are saying the same thing, loudly and without hesitation.
Battlefield would not exist without its community. Every mode, every map, every update only matters because players keep showing up. EA and DICE owe their entire success to a community that has stayed loyal for over two decades, and that loyalty deserves respect, not silence. EA and DICE must start listening before decisions are made, not scrambling to respond after the backlash forces their hand.
We demand these modes be restored to full matchmaking rotation immediately, not as a temporary or rotating feature, but as permanent, dependable options. Act now, before you lose the player base that built this franchise.
