Please implement a ping limit. It is detrimental to the gameplay when half the server are vpn users from the other side of the planet. Without taking into account that some of them are clearly cheating.
And please give us a server browser...
exactly. wondering why there is no ping restriction on the server like in older battlefields. some round are full of 150+ ping player and thats so annyoing.
yep i started reported red pings as cheating.. so many times i die even after fire 1st and way before them but not hitting them once
This would effectively block people from playing the game they paid for. EA/DICE is shutting down servers around the world, people are not using VPNs, they're being routed out of their home region.
And before anyone says there's high ping advantage, try playing with high ping first.
I would not be surprised if they actually are shutting down servers in lesser populated areas. I lately see an influx of high ping players on EU PlayStation only servers.
EA has proven that they take cost cuttings more seriously than giving service to their customers, why else would you lay off your developers?

It is just not fun playing against people with really high ping; Server desync, instant deaths and bad hitreg...
Hopefully EA can provide servers for people all around the world. They have certainly earned enough money to do that.
As someone living in the Middle East, I can confirm the server closest to me has closed. I am now forced playing in the EU, with a ping of 65 (not the worst, but really not ideal).
To the OP: what you are asking for is just not going to happen, because of the receding player base. The matchmaking insist on finding you a match in seconds, and as I mentioned many servers have closed, so people DO get thrown on out-of-region servers regularly. And on top of that, you will have players from the right region but with high ping, but they have bought the game and you don't get to kick them out. Put all of that together and you see it's just not feasible.
Using a VPN to bypass regional restrictions in bf6 is a violation of the tos i believe. They also went out of their way to block a lot of major vpn providers for that very reason.
High ping is an advantage, in fps games often due to bad netcode that doesn't take into account high ping players in its lag compensation features.
Ive paired with a friend from Europe and played their servers with 100+ latency and I was able to play alot more aggressively and I was shot through cover a lot less often. My bullets also registered more often meaning the netcode favors high ping, assuming you are a good player who is used to those conditions.
I also have been reporting these players for cheating, because they ruin the hit reg and gameplay for the majority of players in the server who have the regional right to play in their own servers that the game intended. If they are paired with a friend or using a VPN the reviewer of the report system should be able to make that call themselves.
any offical statement for that? played a round after a few days and there were 15 (!) highpings on the server.
