The shotgun in Battlefield 6 has already been nerfed since the beta.
Battlefield 2042 had a recent bug related to the master key attachment doing too much damage. They fixed that as well afaik.
Overall the shotguns in Battlefield 2042 aren't really the meta though. If you get outgunned by a shotgun at any range except CQB, then that's honestly a skill issue.
