Proposal on improvement of Assault Class

The problem of the class is that

Active ability(Adrenaline Effect) and Signature gadget(Adrenaline injector) are uselsss. Getting Adrenaline effect is RATHER considered a penalty due to its bad performance. 

One of the effects, Instant Heal, was removed after Open Beta because its role was actually related to Supply Class. Let's focus on Assult Class' role as it is since other class' signature gadget is linked to their own roles. 

So the important thing for the improvement is not to overlap with other class' roles as well as to be effective since we know one of the effects was removed because of it. Here is the examples for the improvement.

  1. Active Ability: One of the main role of Assault is to let squad member play objectives faster, which is called Mission Focused. The active ability Rally Squad needs to be changed related to its fundamental role. I suggest that the active skill capture faster during the effect time. For example, using the active gives the squad members nearby to play objectives faster by 7.5%. This effect is applied in conjunction with the signature trait, resulting in a much faster playing-objective speed. It strengthens the inherent traits of the Assault class while respecting the boundaries of other roles.
  2. Signature gadget: Actually, signature gadgets of each class have effects related to one of the Training Paths' effects. Based on this point, we can refer to the Quicker Recovery trait of Frontliner Traing Path as one of the effects for the injector whose name is AJ-03 COAG "Med" Pen. Using the pen does not heal you directly but makes you start recovering faster. Since this effect is derived from the Assault Training Path, it reinforces the Assault class’s unique identity without encroaching on the Support class’s role, and also aligns with the name “Med Pen”.

 

Other class' X gadget is very powerful- detecting enemies(Recon), supplying ammos and healing you directly(Support), and fixing the vehicles(Engineer). That of the Assault class is not so, though. I hope we can discuss the Assault class improvement so that its signature effect has the value like the other class' ones.

    Thanks for taking the time to put this together so thoroughly.

    You’ve done a great job of explaining not just what feels weak about the Assault class right now, but also why the current Active Ability and signature gadget don’t feel like they’re delivering meaningful value compared to the other classes. 

    The suggestions around shifting the Active Ability more toward objective play and reworking the injector into something that supports faster recovery rather than direct healing are both well explained. I’ll continue keeping an eye on the discussion here and noting the ideas players share around Assault class balance.
