Random recoil
Increase in recoil is fine and perhaps some bloom tweets to fix range accuracy but Please roll back the increase in random recoil. Nobody wants unpredictable RNG in an FPS. Gunplay feels bad now.

The random recoil they added is so dumb. doesn’t matter how good at the game you are anymore. Make the recoil patterns something you can learn. i’m so close to deleting this game which is a bummer cause it has so much potential
The recoil and bloom changes did exactly what I assumed they would do.
Change nothing for the consolebois and make it even harder to fight back as a PC. Sick and tired of some baby console infant bouncing around bootysliding just hipfiring at 100m braining me while my gun can't even ADS straight while I'm kneeling and holding still.
It's almost like they have an undying, unyielding BURNING hatred of all PC players.
I really wanna know who was the brilliant idea to insert a RNG recoil pattern.
We already have bloom but this RNG recoil is pure garbage.
So basically you will loose gunfights if you get bad RNG in bloom and recoil.
....
Also visibility, net code and sound is worst compared to any other battlefield game
Agree I like recoil in a game because it add feeling to a gun and makes it fun to master. How ever it sucks have random recoil patterns.
to be clear: the game always had random recoil, its ridiculous, so they decide to make it even worse. I really wanna know who gave this idea, I don`t want to buy any fps with that person involved.
the devs need to make comment on this bs and its clear random recoil isn't applied fairely across games or players.
they need to entirely remove random recoil from the game in favor for just more overall recoil.
and console players by far and large, can still just hold down the spray button with little impact.
random recoil needs to be deleted along with forced crossplay.
I have no official information on this, but my assumption is that they added horizontal recoil as a replacement to increased bloom.
First, I want to say bloom is important. Without it, guns that should not be able to perform at range or are meant to be highly unstable at full burst cannot be balanced properly. Some guns will be more precise than others, irregardless of vertical recoil, and that needs to be represented. Yes, it is RNG, and actually a bunch of people do want it, there's a reason why people keep bringing up BF4, that game had quite a bit more bloom than BF6.
The problem is that bloom interacts very poorly with hitreg issues. Especially when ADS'ing, where you can't ascertain what the maximum bloom is going to be: if you miss repeatedly, was it because of bloom or because of hitreg issues? Considering how many people complain about hitreg, I think they tried an alternative that is actually visible. Of note, they actually mentioned they would look for ways to make bloom visible, and while they did not say anything like that for these patch notes, it does look like it's linked.
I don't know what my preference is. The horizontal recoil took me back at first, but frankly once I saw it as an alternative to bloom, it bothered me considerably less. I thought they would go for keeping bloom instead, adding a visual cue of where my shots hit, but looking back, I'm not sure it would feel better.
So for now, I would rather they communicated more clearly on what the systems are and what they are trying to achieve, rather than making more changes without explanation. And ultimately, I'd like them to keep one or the other, but not both bloom and random horizontal recoil.
Hi there, I just wanted to share the developers' response to this topic from the recent Discord Live Q&A, in case you weren't able to take the time to join.
Q: It’s love to see how the community's skill ceiling continuously reaches new heights every single day. However, looking at recent patches, we've noticed a heavy shift toward just Random based weapon bloom and Random recoils. Could you share the ideal behind introducing randomness into a competitive community? We’d love to understand the future direction of this gunplay.
A: As part of the gunplay improvements we are working on that will arrive later in Season 3, we have been taking a good look at how recoil is tuned. Recoil variation will receive adjustments in a way that will make handling more predictable and put more important on shooting technique (i.e. burst-firing an automatic weapon to effectively hit targets at ranges). Those changes will have some meaningful impact on gunplay mastery and I think you will like where we are headed! We will be sharing more about everything gunplay in the near future in a deep dive on the topic so stay tuned!
Thank you all for the feedback.
