Rank 500 | 800 Hours in Game | Feedback
So you have bled the player base, here is my feedback not including more maps, or more whatever but game changes.
Spotting: You are spotted in this game far too much, it's too easy, it's too simple, it affects every class, every flag, every match, every fight, every decision. It is one of the reasons players feel like they can't breathe for one second without being constantly pushed and pushed by players after a single engagement. Watch anyone play, they are literally staring at the minimap the whole game and the rest they are shooting someone with a red dot over their head that is far to easy to put on people. Give some let people know they are spotted....
Fix: * Remove auto spotting from recon class (my most played class in hours). Let it be done through the laser des. and the motion sensor and motion grenade, that is more than enough including that you can also hit q and mark people, which should only show up for squad mates.
- Give every class the option to equip the smoke grenade. The support class still has the grenade launcher to separate their smoking ability. These remove spotting, slow things down, let you create some cover for every class in these flag zones that are very small and have horrible cover in. Give you a second to "breathe"
Too Many Snipers: Get rid of the range finder bs. It is absurd to have this attachment. Removing auto spotting will also cut down on the number of players sniping because they won't be getting as many kills when they can't automatically get a red dot to shoot a sweet spot on 24/7, it was a horrible idea to add this. Make them use the laser if they want a 3d spot.
No teamwork: Nerf the ability for support players to use the class as a self heal and to run around solo the entire game to hound kills. Get these people off the support class however you have too. If you want to run around and kill, it should be getting done as assault. The small bag you throw needs to not heal the self, or just be an ammo bag considering there are heals in the support bag. But it is easily the absolute worst support play in terms of team orientation that I have ever seen.
This is the least team oriented BF game I have ever played. In my opinion that is the absolute worst thing about this game. It feels like other shooters, drop in and play and run around and gun solo. Older games seem to have a lot more chokepoints, which caused players, many who have never played a BF game before BF3, to feel like they have played team oriented BF. But in fact, 30 players piled up on Operation Metro isn't "teamplay", it's a cluster **** where you have no choice but to be near each other.
I'm not sure what you are willing to do to push teamwork, but stop babying these people and FORCE IT. This generation seems to all want to be infantry run and gun solo, that isn't BF and it makes this game not feel like BF.
Buff Assault gadgets like the thermal shotgun and launcher, the class needs some more versatility.
I know players want to see more maps, easier attachment unlocks etc. But the gameplay itself is being affected by teams not playing together, being spotted the entire match, mini map obsession, and as usual too many snipers not playing objectives. Game runs better in Season 2 than season 1, there are a lot of thing that I could repeat that would be repetitive, but these are some smaller things that are having a large impact on the fun and experience of the game imo.
