Re: HOSAS/HOTAS support.

stop pls discriminating against some players.

Hello,

Like many other players, I purchased BF6 expecting a complete experience. However, I’m unable to use my HOTAS X56 joystick to pilot aerial vehicles in the game. This limitation is disappointing, especially considering that there are no major technical barriers to implementing support for such devices.

I understand that the anti-cheat system blocks remapping tools and third-party software, which is reasonable. But as a result, there is currently no way to make my joystick work with BF6 — a situation that feels unacceptable in 2026.

I respectfully ask your technical team to consider adding native support for HOTAS controllers. While we may not represent the majority of players, we are still a meaningful and dedicated part of the community. Excluding us from full gameplay functionality feels unfair, especially when we’ve invested in both your game and specialized hardware.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope to see this feature added in a future update.

Best regards,

I second this. There’s more players than they think, who would love full hotas support. I know BF isn’t a milsim, using hotas is just fun.

x56 Support would be fantastic. Even just the stick - don't need the throttle.

Update on this: Tried it last night and my X56 stick IS picked up and working great. For what it's worth I have not tested it with the throttle, I'm using the stick only. The throttle is essentially unplugged. No idea if that will make a difference for you guys.

I’ll have to try this when I get home! I tried the other day, and with the throttle plugged in my character just kept spinning.

I have a thrustmaster hotas one. I cant get the game to see it as a joystick. BF6 even bypasses its own driver (i think). I hope support for hotas joysticks comes soon.

P.S. im loving the game, best return to the classic plus new stuff in a longggg time.

x56 works in-game with both stick and throttle. The only way I have found so far is using a combination of vjoy, hid/hide and joystick gremlin then editing the joystick binds in-game. The good is that everything works well, up down, yaw, roll, etc. Bad is that I have yet to figure out how to get freelook to work correctly. The programs don't seem to recognize the small "C" stick on middle left side of flight stick so I can't free look around with it and if I try to use the joystick itself the view maxes out totally to the side or up/down and not slightly over like you can with a mouse or controller. Other than that I can fly around no problem... till a tank agm hits 30 secs after takeoff all the way from other side of map. 🙃

Edit - I was finally able to map the "C" mini stick in joystick gremlin... I put it to x and y rotation mapped to mouse and upped the min max thresholds cause the reticle barely moves if you don't. Fooled me the first time. Barely caught it moving . So you can fly and aim with freelook but the difficulty is extreme. Almost better to use a button on throttle to enter freelook, grab the mouse real quick to aim and fire and then back to stick.

It may be a long shot, but I’d love to use my Hotas on ps5.  I don’t see why not.

My main concern on this is the possibility of a ban, it would be nice to get some confirmation from EA or for a actual full Hotas support in battlefield 6 so we don't have to worry

I was able to map the x56 joystick using the in game joystick settings without any third party software.  I did have to have the throttle unplugged and not used. HOTAS support is still needed. I’m not going to use any software since I’m worried about a ban.

X56 joystick works with in-game Joystick configuration. Throttle still have an issue.

I am a huge fan of flight sticks, and I may be new to battlefield, but I love battlefield 6. I would love to be able to use my flight sticks, how is it in 2025 going on 26, there is only a handful of games from 5 years ago, with the support for flight sim equipment. X56 support. Please.

Aaaaand they've stuffed it up again. My X56 stick is no longer detected in BF6. It picks up the throttle as a controller being detected, but I can't map that either.

69thBuLLeTZA I had a similar problem with my Razer Tartarus after updates, I fixed it by unplugging the USB then reconnecting while the game is running,   I hope this helps you.

Question;  Does your X56 software work or does the game recognize the HOTAS and then you map your Buttons/stick?

Yeah, same for me.  Could never get it to map the stick, now not even recognized.

Hey man. I'll give that a shot. I've been a good guy and exited the game every time between plugging in-and-out and changing ports.

I'll try doing it while in game.

I don't use the X56 software. I prefer binding in games. I currently have no indication that the game is recognizing the stick, and it only seems to see the throttle as a controller - I can't actually bind either of them under "joystick".

69thBuLLeTZA I hope this works, a Friend suggested it to me so I'll pass on the knowledge.

Thanks for the information, I know in the past with my Logitech I had to bind Buttons for throttle use, as I said earlier a Joypad controller works on the same principle yet Dice leaves the PC Gamers in the ether lost.

    See you on the Battlefield!
