Recon:Spec Ops needs serious attention
Hello,
I enjoy to play more infiltrator, SMG agressive type of recon, but the class which niche it's supposed to be, the Recon:Spec Ops is utter trash. I dont think there is any situation where you just wouldn't be better off as Support or Assault. I wonder if they look at the class and subclass breakdown, how many players are consitently playing SpecOps today...
1: In order to unlock the ninja, behind enemy lines, non sniper type of specialization, you have to farm crazy "miles away from combat" sniper kills, which makes 0 sense.
2: The weapon specialization you end up with even as SpecOps, is also sniper rifle, but something like e.g. SMG would be far better suited for the goal of the class.
3: The passives you get, situationally OK, but they just don't get your fired up to play the class.
Not a COD player, but I've played it a bit, and SpecOps should be the equivalent loadout to people running Ghost/Ninja perks to some extent.
Some random things, while strong, outlines a bit the direction I'd love to see the class go:
- Reduces footstep noise just always by 50%
- Reduce time being spotted just always by 50%
- Supressor attachement cost reduced by 50%
- Two charges of claymore.
- SMG hipfire bonus
- Keep the auto-spotting trait from it's Sniper counterpart.
