Remove IGLA Challenge

This is the WORST thing i've had to deal with in BF6, this isnt a challenge, its pure luck of getting a match that the pilot will pop a flare off early, and stay within distance and not too low.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk. Now remove this god awful 'challenge'.

the igla and stinger in game are the WORST launchers

Yes they are, and they’re made that way on purpose: you’re not supposed to have much success with them unless the target is painted. When it is painted, the missile is more agile and tracks better, you’re very unlikely to miss. When it is not, it is clunky and does not track well.

This is just not meant to be a one person challenge, so bad luck if you don’t have a friend who wants to play recon with you.

Even IF the heli has no flares, IF they are not abusing below radar, IF they are in range,  8 times out of ten the missile just doesn't work and goes into the ground or decides it wants to leave the map.  Im so sorry to any one who has to do this challenge, the igla and stinger in game are the WORST launchers.

They'll still get a lock on warning, they just won't get the directional indicator. Technically it'll make it more difficult to know which way to dodge, but frankly, it's a very minor nerf.

Dice has had history of nerfing challenges in this game to basiclly nothing like many complaint about the challenges at launch being un resonable from my understanding with next phase update aircraft no longer gets warnning of being locked on by IGLAS or its somewhere in seasson 5 im not sure but we will see if it will be resonable after that

Thanks for the reply, but this is NOT a solution. Getting a competent squad together for one challenge is unreasonable.

The fact is this challenge is just pure crap. The IGLA requires 2 hits on attack/trans helis, if you manage to even get 1 hit you still need to find the magic of getting another without the pilot NOT popping the flares early, NOT going under radar, NOT going too far AND having to be locked on like an idiot sitting out in the open with a scope on the aircraft.

If the pilot bails and you get a force bail, you don't even get credit, let alone getting credit for an assisted kill.

The challenge is bad. It's really really bad. Just admit that and remove this stupid challenge or make more fair to just destroy aircraft in general/assist.

Getting a whole squad together just for one challenge is a bit unreasonable...

Much better to try to get a single recon to paint the target, at least removing any too low or too close constraints. Plus many pilots mistake the painted warning for the locked on one, and so they pop their flares early.

I get where you're coming from GoonsAndTunes . This is definitely one of the tougher challenges.

One thing that can make it a bit more manageable is teaming up with three other Engineers and coordinating over voice chat. If you stagger your lock-ons and shots, you can force the pilot to use their flares and give someone else in the squad an opening to land the hit.

That said, I appreciate the feedback on the challenge itself and how dependent it can feel on the circumstances of the match.
