Request Orders from Squad Leader Function is Desperately Needed!

Devs:

I have been playing Battlefield since 2002 and in my humble opinion, there is a feature missing that should be restored with some urgency.

I’d love to see a “Request Orders” command added to Battlefield 6. As a squad member, having a quick radial/commo-rose option to ping the squad leader for an objective or order would make squad coordination much smoother.

The core problem this solves: in the vast majority of matches, squad leaders simply never issue orders. Most players who end up as squad leader aren’t actively leading — which leaves the rest of the squad with no objective, no spawn focus, and none of the squad-point incentives that orders are supposed to drive. The result is that squad play, one of Battlefield’s defining features, effectively breaks down. A “Request Orders” command would let engaged players prompt their leader directly, nudging passive leaders to actually set an objective and promoting those seeking orders to squad leader if the current leader does not timely issue orders. restoring the coordinated gameplay the system was built for.  The system as used in 2042 was perfect.

The thing is, once a squad leader assigns an objective, there is such a strong visual cue to the rest of the squad about what to do (the objective is marked in green) that even players who are not interested in coordinated squad play will subconsciously choose that objective and the squad will naturally converge there. This only works when orders are actually given, however, which is simply not happening in my experience.
